Award winning business leaders and industry experts to speak at The Conference and Hospitality Show

Pete Wilkinson, Carole McKellar, Liz Taylor and Richard Newman and are among the business leaders and industry experts speaking at the Conference and Hospitality Show 2016 (CHS). CHS is the leading event in the North for event organisers and PAs and will be held at the first direct Arena on the 26th April 2016.

The show will feature two stages: The Main Stage, with educational topics designed to encourage and inform event organisers and venue bookers, and the PA Stage, with speakers specifically chosen to inspire and educate PAs (full programme below).  

Multi-award winning motivational speaker, Pete Wilkinson will be presenting ‘Unstoppable’ - a keynote session based on his bestselling book of the same name that will encourage delegates to become unstoppable in life. Pete has an MBA from Newcastle Business School, is a published author, an Ironman Triathlete and successful business owner.  

Carole McKellar is managing director Northern Europe for HelmsBriscoe, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and an active member of MPI. Her session will look at how to make a companywide meetings policy work and will be for corporate buyers only (by invitation).  

Television’s ‘Millionaire Party Planner’, Liz Taylor will present a session where she shares experiences and anecdotes from a 30 year career that has seen the corporate events management industry blossom.  

The London Business School’s official specialist in business communication, Richard Newman will be presenting a session on how to increase impact and influence through communication. Richard is an award-winning expert in communication, influence and leadership.

Now in its seventh year, the Conference and Hospitality Show is the leading event in the North for event organisers, venue finders and PAs. This year, the show is being held on Tuesday 26th April and is relocating to the world class first direct Arena in central Leeds. Key show highlights:
• Over 200 venues, hotels, technology providers and many other national meeting industry suppliers under one roof.
• 2016 marks a 40 percent growth in the number of exhibitors and floor space.
• The new city centre location will make it even easier for visitors to attend - whether for the whole day, the afternoon or to pop in for a couple of hours for a few focused meetings and a seminar or two.
• The After Show Party will be hosted by Sandals & Beaches Resorts.
• Doors open at 9.00 for VIP preview hour, and for visitors at 10am. Doors close at 4.30pm
• Tuesday 26th April at the first direct arena, Leeds.

Dayla will discuss her background, cover particular meetings and conferences she has organised, including the potential pit falls and how to avoid them. She will also cover the importance of negotiating with venues to get the best deal and shares her successes and tips of how to organise a memorable conference.

Carole  McKellar - How do you make a companywide meetings policy work?
You know it make sense to set meetings standards across your company, but everyone has their own style and favourite suppliers and no-one wants to lose control of their meetings. This session will focus on engaging with the various meeting organisers across your company and gaining their commitment to a standard meetings approach.
