Etihad Airways to showcase new A380 at The Business Travel Show

Etihad Airways – the national airline of the United Arab Emirates – will showcase its new Airbus A380 business and first class products to European travel buyers at the Business Travel Show next year ahead of all but one of its new fleet being delivered and rolled out.

Etihad currently has ten A380s on order. In 2015, it will be operating three A380s on flights between Abu Dhabi and London Heathrow followed by two A380s flying to Sydney and New York.

The Etihad Airways A380 Business Studio will feature a fully flat bed and personal 18-inch touch screen TV with noise-cancelling headsets. The new First Apartments are private suites with a separate reclining lounge seat and full-length bed.

Etihad is one of 37 airlines already confirmed to exhibit at the Business Travel Show, Europe’s largest specialised event for the business travel industry, taking place on 25-26 February 2015 at Olympia Grand in London and attracting more than 6,000 corporate travel professionals.

Clive Wratten, Etihad Airways’ general manager for the UK and Ireland, said: “We are really looking forward to getting back to the Business Travel Show and, with a range of fabulous new in-flight products about to take to the air, the event provides the perfect platform to show the travel buyer what we have to offer. And what we have is remarkable and just perfect for business travellers.”

“2015 marks the first outing for Etihad Airways at the Business Travel Show for six years and we are delighted to see them return to the show with the biggest stand in the hall. The company’s confidence in the show as a platform for launching its new business travel offering is testament to the event’s continued relevance to high quality buyers from all over Europe,” commented David Chapple, Business Travel Show event director.
