The trade show offers something for everyone, from the complete beginner to the seasoned pro. It will be an opportunity for Lyon Airports to present what it has to offer and why Lyon-Saint Exupéry is a great option for those keen to hit the slopes. A variety of activities and prizes will also be up for grabs.

Since the 2013-2014 season, Lyon Airports has implemented a system for welcoming skiers in order to make their journey easier and reduce transfer times to Alpine ski resorts. With its proximity to these resorts, excellent transport links and a unique welcoming service, Lyon-Saint Exupéry, the third largest airport in France, offers the highest quality service for skiers and snowboarders visiting the Alpine region.

Dedicated staff members are on hand at the airport to help skiers upon arrival. A Welcome zone provides tourist information so that passengers can find all the information they need and make necessary arrangements for their trip. The Travel Agency zone in the airport allows passengers to find their travel agent straight away.

The checking in process for departures has never been simpler as skiers and snowboarders can now register skis, snowboards and oversized baggage at check-in, which in turn vastly improves efficiency at baggage collection. There is also convenient parking right beside the terminals.

The airport is not only practical for skiers but in addition provides an improved traveller experience with its duty-free stores, bars and food shops.

Lyon-Saint Exupéry provides quick and easy access to the French Alps. The airport has several direct links including motorway network, bus, train, on-demand transfers, taxi, car rental, so that skiers can have the slopes in sight less than an hour and a half after leaving the airport.

Over 30 airlines provide flights to Lyon-Saint Exupéry from cities around the world, notably for the Ski season from the UK (including London Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol & Edinburgh), Russia & Israel.

The number of airline connections continues to grow and extra flights are provided during the winter season to respond to increased demand. Tour Operators also offer a range of package holidays for skiers through Lyon-Saint Exupéry.
