Delegates 'Feeling Fine'‘ as team Liverpool stirred up Beatlemania at IMEX America

ACC Liverpool and Liverpool Convention Bureau at IMEX America
ACC Liverpool and Liverpool Convention Bureau had delegates dancing in the aisles with a Beatles tribute band during IMEX America.
John and Paul lookalikes belted out the city’s favourites as Liverpool brought Beatlemania to the show floor to mark 50 years since the Fab Four appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show in New York.

“As our industry is about people meeting, it was only right that our tribute act kicked off with Come Together” said Kerrin MacPhie, director of sales at ACC Liverpool, home to BT Convention Centre, Echo Arena and Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

“This year marks 50 years since the Beatles conquered the US and we aimed to do the same at IMEX America.

“We gave delegates their own taste of Beatlemania during the Euro Party and were thrilled to see visitors dancing around the stand.”

During the event on the VisitEngland stand, Team Liverpool gave away gifts including a scroll illustrating interesting facts between Liverpool and America such as President Obama’s family connection to the city – his great, great-grandfather sailed from Liverpool to the US in 1850.
