Business Travel Show doubles Launchpad to support 15 start-ups

The Business Travel Show has increased its investment in innovation by doubling the size of the show’s Launchpad. This means that up to 15 business travel start-ups could exhibit for free at next year’s event.
Launchpad premiered in 2016 with eight exhibitors receiving a free stand, extensive marketing support, exposure to the show’s 7,730 attendees and an entry into the inaugural Business Travel Disrupt Award, the winner of which receives a full-sized stand worth £8,000 at the following year’s show.

Campfire Sessions at Showman’s Show 2016 applauded by speakers and attendees

The 2016 outing of the Showman’s Show saw the successful addition of Campfire Sessions for the first time in the event’s 30-year history. Feedback from both speakers and attendees has been extremely positive. With nine sessions in total covering a wide range of topics, from the impact of Brexit, tackling crime at festivals, Health & Safety and sustainable power to a beginner’s guide to starting a festival, driving ticket sales, improving recycling rates and social media tips there was something for anyone involved in the events industry to tap into.

Chair of APPG’s visit to Showman’s Show 2016 hailed a great success

When the 2016 edition of the Showman’s Show was held at Newbury Showground from 19th – 20th October, organiser Lance Show & Publications Limited was delighted to welcome along James Heappey, Conservative MP for Wells and chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for events.
