York Minster to Westminster: VisitYork4Meetings in London

The event to be held on Wednesday 13 March 2013, hosted by MP for York, Hugh Bayley and MP for York outer, Julian Sturdy, will target conference buyers from London and the South as well as a selection of high-profile international organisers thanks to a partnership with Visit England. Guests will include a range of corporate, association and international meetings and incentive buyers.
The Houses of Parliament will provide a fitting backdrop to welcome delegates, where they will enjoy networking, afternoon tea and a tour of the venue. The invited guests will then move on to the new five star Intercontinental Westminster Hotel for a York venue showcase and Yorkshire themed dinner. Host venues will include the five star Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa, York Minster Conference and Banqueting Centre and the National Railway Museum.

The York Minster to Westminster showcase is a key part of Visit York’s business tourism strategy, which in partnership with Visit England will also see a number of other international business tourism marketing opportunities. Activity includes further development of the Conference Ambassador Programme, a series of dedicated sales days and a programme of exhibitions and workshops promoting York for business.
