VisitEngland Chief Executive to speak at Tourism Society Yorkshire event 7th September 2012

James Berresford, chief executive of the national tourism body VisitEngland is to speak at the Tourism Society Yorkshire’s lunch to be held at Bedern Hall York on Friday 7th September.
James’ talk is entitled ‘Post Olympic Pointers’ and will include news of VisitEngland’s campaign strategy following the recent government announcement that the Britain’s GREAT campaign organised and executed by VisitEngland is to receive a further £2M boost.


“We are very pleased that James has agreed to come to Yorkshire again to update colleagues on the national campaign following the huge success of the London 2012 Olympic Games in which Yorkshire’s athletes played such a huge part. There are opportunities to capitalise on the legacy of the Games and James will share ideas, listen to comments and explain how Yorkshire will benefit”. The event also includes presentations by Julia Kay, former BBC and Sky Television presenter who has interesting ‘Green Tourism’ challenges, plus, Annie Litmanen will advise about a new opportunity for training workshops with the Disney Institute in Yorkshire.
