The exhibition covers all aspects of stitch and craft, and offers creative craft enthusiasts the perfect opportunity to stock up on quality supplies. It also boasts a busy schedule of workshops and demonstrations for attendees of all levels of ability, whether they want to learn a completely new craft or just get up to speed with the latest crafting inspirations.
This year’s event is set to have more on offer for visitors than ever before. Exciting new features include a stitch and paper ideas exchange, hosted by Wendy Cotterill of Gallery Textiles, as well as embossing classes with Craft Habitat, and bead workshops led by The Southampton Beadshop.
Long-running show favourites will also make a return, such as the Make and Take Area, where experts will run sessions that allow attendees to create an item that they can take away in just one hour.
A strong line-up of popular craft supply and material stockists will also be in attendance, including Black Sheep, Crafty Devils, Cupcake World, Dimension Stamps and The Beadshop.
Marlene Carr, Show Manager at The Manchester Creative Crafts Show, says: “On its 20th anniversary, it is fitting that the show is making a return to a venue it originally started in.
“From visitor feedback we have found that Manchester Central is a firm favourite as a venue choice, which prompted the decision to move back to the venue. The show’s attendees come from far and wide, and for many, their trip is part of a longer break in the city. Manchester Central’s great transport links and city centre location are therefore big positives, as is the abundance of accommodation on the venue’s doorstep. Ticket sales have been strong this year, and we have had a great response from exhibitors, which has really justified our decision to come back to the venue.”
Angie Robinson, CEO of Manchester Central, said: “It’s wonderful to welcome back the Creative Crafts Show to Manchester Central; in the previous years we’ve hosted the show, it’s always been a popular event. The event is particularly well suited to Manchester, given the city’s historic role as a global hub for the textiles industry, so it’s fitting that it should be held in our iconic venue that also has deep roots in the city’s history.
“We’re looking forward to working closely with the exhibition’s organisers to support them in delivering a fantastic visitor experience in this important anniversary year.”
