Experience the best of Nordic cuisine in Copenhagen

Copenhagen will be a gastronomic hot pot from 24 August to 2 September when the Danish capital celebrates its Nordic culinary heritage during Copenhagen Cooking festival.
The festival is a tribute to the Danish and Nordic cuisine and the official opening is sponsored by Copenhagen-based travel site Momondo.

“Momondo and Copenhagen Cooking fit each other perfectly. We are both from Copenhagen and have a huge interest in the Nordic region and its vibrant gastronomic scene. Copenhagen Cooking will showcase the best of the Nordic kitchen and the Copenhagen restaurant scene”, says Maria Kristensen Bech, Head of Copenhagen Cooking.

Momondo recently published the book ‘Copenhagen from Noma + Momondo’, where the staff at Noma, (ranked as the Best Restaurant in World), share their favourite places in Copenhagen.

At Copenhagen Cooking’s opening ceremony René Redzepi, head chef at Noma will be awarded ‘Copenhagen Ambassador Honorary Award’ for his extraordinary contribution to the Nordic cuisine and Copenhagen. HRH Princess Marie is projector for Copenhagen Cooking and the Danish princess will also attend the opening ceremony on 24 August.
