Code name - The Marlborough Assignment
To coincide with the long-awaited 23rd Bond film - Skyfall, due out October 2012, Blenheim Palace has unveiled ambitious plans to host an elaborate familiarization trip. Designed to emulate the best bits of James Bond, the familiarization trip will showcase agents and planners, what can be achieved within Blenheim Palace's magnificent grounds.Paul Liczbinski, head of sales, together with Dave Thomas, Managing Director of Spy Games, have teamed up to create The Marlborough Assignment event, planned for 6th Sept, 4th October and the 9th October 2012.
Like the movies, the event, will have plenty of action, a foreign-sounding villain, spectacular back-drops and the odd Bond girl adding an air of mystique. Besides utilising the palace, its amazing grounds and its brand new Champagne Bar, appearing in the new Bond adaption, will be the Feathers Hotel Gin Club (in Woodstock, on Blenheim's door-stop).
After all what's a Bond set without the celebrated gin martini and the "shaken not stirred" catchphrase! Blenheim Palace's dramatic lake will have a leading role too, however, any budding Bond wannabes wishing to attend, are not contractually obligated to remove their shirt…
James Bond and the Churchill's of Blenheim Palace are both iconic symbols, and not only will the event be topical and fun, but will be designed to provide groups with an effective day's team-building exercise.
