Test your team with the ultimate challenge

Fancy inspiring your team with thrills and nerve-jangling challenges? Then head to the new Vertigo Adventures Stanborough Park, in Hertfordshire’s Welwyn Garden City.

The high- and low-ropes course, which opened on June 25, has launched half-day and full-day corporate packages for the ultimate outdoor event or team building exercise.

Vertigo Adventures is one of the longest and toughest courses in the UK, with zip-wire action, breathtaking plunges and daring challenges to test even the hardiest of adventure seekers.

From the 10ft tall Monkey Trail, featuring nine elements including Sky Islands and Twin Tube Tunnels, to the heady heights of the Hawks View, which at 40ft high offers a bird’s-eye view of 126 acres of award-winning parkland, there’s something to suit every member of your group.

As well as the high and low ropes, there are plenty of additional fun elements to include in your team-building, including the Crazy Climb wall, the 165ft Flying Fox zip wire and an exhilarating Plummet from the Summit on a powerfan descender.

Activities available to corporate groups include:
Jacobs Ladder
A challenge that requires good communication and teamwork as you test your co-operation, balance, co-ordination and strength to reach the top of the giant Jacobs Ladder, suspended 40ft in the air.

High All Aboard

A delicate balancing act and a classic exercise in trust. Climb the 40ft pole to access a small platform, balance yourself precariously at the top and then make room for a further three people. As you stand at the top, test your nerve, put the ultimate trust in your team, hold each other’s hands and lean back…

Crate Stack

A test of balance and co-ordination as you work together in pairs to stack as many milk crates underneath you as you can. How high can you build your tower before it collapses?

Gladiator Challenge

Compete with your team mates to ascend the poles, tyres and nets to the top of the gladiator challenge that hangs from a 40ft steel bar. Designed to increase comradeship, patience and control, this challenge will reveal which team can keep their nerve to be crowned gladiators.

Tarzan Jump

First climb a 40ft pole to a tiny platform, then pluck up the courage to leap across and grab the trapeze bar. A challenge that requires courage and determination, this is a fantastic confidence booster. Feel the relief as you are lowered safely to the ground.
