Social Wine & Tapas to host a collaborative dinner with Salt Yard

On Tuesday 9th August, executive head chef of Jason Atherton’s Social Wine & Tapas, Frankie Van Loo, will be hosting a collaborative dinner with chef director of Salt Yard Group, Ben Tish. The dinner will be a celebration of the modern tapas for which both restaurants are known, inspired by the flavours and produce of Spain and Italy, and with expert wine pairing from executive sommelier of Social Wine & Tapas, Laure Patry.

Available at Social Wine & Tapas for one night only, the collaboration will offer a unique opportunity to enjoy a six-course dinner created by two of London’s most innovative chefs. Inspired by London’s burgeoning interest in tapas-style dining, and the like-minded approach of Social Wine & Tapas and Salt Yard, the menu will be ingredient-led, with both chefs demonstrating their own distinct styles.

To begin, guests will enjoy snacks such as pinchos morunos, and cuttlefish and ink croquette with saffron aioli, before sampling dishes including grilled Sicilian red prawns with lardo and rosemary on toast and Iberico pork loin with salt baked beetroot and apricot.

For dessert, the menu will feature chargrilled white peaches with goat’s milk ice cream and lavender sponge, together with clotted cream and strawberries, in a nod to summertime in London. To accompany each course Laure Patry has created a dynamic wine list, offering quality, rare and fine wines chosen to complement and enhance the flavour of each dish. 

Priced at £95 per person, including service and wine pairings, the dinner is available to book between 6pm and 9.30pm.

Ben Tish’s new cookbook Grill Smoke BBQ will also be available for guests to purchase on the evening.
