1879 Events Management, part of leading leisure brand SoL, is offering four tailored packages for the famous aviation festival which is being held over the weekend July 22-24.
The landmark show is one of the largest free events of its kind in Europe and offers three days of airborne displays as well as on the ground entertainment at the twin resorts of Seaburn and Roker on the North East coast.
1879 Events Management, which manages dining and events at Wearside’s Stadium of Light and National Glass Centre, will be helping to cater for more than a million visitors who are set to attend.
This includes a selection of hospitality packages catering for all needs, from fine-dining and luxury to family-focussed entertainment, where guests can enjoy all of the action going on in the sky in style.
The show roars into action on Friday July 22 and 1879 Events Management will launch its aptly-named Take Off Marquee package which includes access to private viewing areas, a welcome Prosecco cocktail, use of a private gin bar and Pimms van, live music and a BBQ station.
On Saturday and Sunday July 23 and 24, guests can enjoy up to 12 hours of flying displays as they relax in an outdoor viewing area with deck chairs while indulging in a selection of street food in the Lancaster Lounge as part of the Gold package, open to all ages.
For a family-friendly day out there is a Family Zone package which also includes street food along with a selection of activities including interactive arcades, bungee trampolines, football and a surf machine, all located in Roker Park.
For a truly indulgent experience, adults can take advantage of the Platinum Hospitality Package. This includes a Champagne and canapés reception, a four-course British grand buffet, live music, access to a private gin bar and Pimms bar and use of an exclusive private viewing area in the prime location of Cliffe Park.
Gary Hutchinson, Director at 1879 Events, believes the packages will give an exciting extra dimension to the event.
“For high-octane action and family entertainment there is nothing quite like the Sunderland International Airshow and we were keen to offer a selection of hospitality packages which would enhance this experience,” he said.
“We have created a number of packages with options to suit everyone and we believe these offer visitors the perfect upgrade to their airshow experience and give them an unforgettable day out.”
