Organised by event industry blogger, Irina Trofimovskaya, founder of The MICE Blog, the theme for the evening is ‘The perfect pitch – what clients are looking for’.
The lively forum is open to all event planners, agencies and bookers or anyone within the events industry seeking insight into the pitching process. It will explore everything from costings, pitfalls and preparation to briefings, communication, creativity and challenges.
The event will be moderated by Caleb Parker, HBAA Technology & Innovation Chair. Speakers at the event include Deborah Kelly, Business Development Manager – UK, London & Partners; Gareth Dimelow, Founder and Creative Strategist, LIFTD, and Mike Walker, Managing Director, MGN Events.
Mike Walker said: “Getting your pitch right is a hot topic in the events industry and one that is certainly worth further discussion. I am looking forward to covering issues such as how much time to spend on a pitch, how the pitch process works and how to make your pitch perfect. I think it will generate some interesting debate.”
Located at the heart of Westminster, directly opposite St James’s Park Tube Station, Broadway House is an AIM Gold accredited venue and one of the three venues under the EEF Venue’s group, which has been named ‘No 1 Small Group’ and ‘Best Value for Money Group’ in BDRC Continental’s VenueVerdict Awards for the past three years.
Irina Trofimovskaya said: “The pitching process can be long, challenging and costly, not only for the client but also for the agency. Some agencies can afford it, but smaller agencies sometimes need to “pitch to play” to establish a relationship. “We are hoping to explore all aspects of the process, and share insight and knowledge while networking in the lovely surroundings of Broadway House.”
The event includes a bespoke selection of antipasti and salads from Broadway House’s summer hospitality menu.
