Exclusively honouring internal corporate event teams and departments, the ICE Awards’ inaugural programme in 2015 produced a cluster of global brand winners that included BNP Paribas, Colgate-Palmolive, Euromoney and Twitter.
ICE Awards’ Producer Anita Howard said: “We’re so pleased that the high calibre of last year’s entrants has already been repeated for 2016. We’ve had a lot of enquiries from corporate teams, and we’d like to help them put their best foot forward. So we’ve set up the workshop to help guide all applicants through the entry process, especially those in-house teams that have little or no experience of submitting award entries.“
The workshop, taking place on 20 May, has been timed to assist organisers in planning their submissions in the run-up to the Awards’ 30 May deadline. A group of ICE Ambassadors will explain the process and attendees will have the opportunity to talk to some of last year’s winners, and hear first-hand what the judges will be looking for. Interested participants can request a place via the Ice Awards website.
This year’s ICE Awards’ judging panel includes leading event industry professionals from every sector of the industry, including Ben Goedegebuure from Maritz, Rob Quayle, AstraZeneca and Matt Storey, the Gallowglass Group.
Entrants can choose from nine event-type categories, including Best Sponsorship Activation Event, Best Use of Technology and Best Leadership Event. In addition, a single category honours individual performance - the Rising Star Award. Entry to the ICE Awards is free, and any in-house team from any industry sector can enter.
The ICE Awards, in association with the Event Marketing Association, are deliberately designed to offer a fun networking opportunity at an impactful venue - this year’s event takes place at the V&A on Wednesday 14 July.
