The venue, which is the largest conference facility in Kent offering 7,000sqm of indoor space along with 200 acres of outdoor space, attributes the increase in turnover to an increased awareness of the upgraded facilities at the venue, including the site’s Maidstone Exhibition Hall which opened in 2014.
Since the launch of the new venue, the team at Kent Event Centre has seen a number of repeat bookings and has also reported an increase in new business enquiries as a result.
Kent Event Centre also reports a 12 per cent increase in turnover for the first quarter of this financial year with a very healthy 49 per cent increase in Q1 conference sales for the period of October to December 2015 compared with the same period the previous year.
Kent Event Centre Manager Alison Wallington says: “We’re so pleased to have enjoyed such a strong financial year and first quarter here at the Kent Event Centre. It’s great to see our clients enjoying the new facilities we have on offer.
“Our profits from the Kent Event Centre are reinvested back into the Kent County Agricultural Society, a charity which helps to support agriculture and land-based industry in the region, so it’s great to know that the conferences and events we host here help us to give something back to the community.”
