From January 28 to 21 February 2016From 28 January to 21 February 2016, Bicester Village – a popular shopping tourism destination with visitors from all over the world – will be offering its Chinese guests a special red envelope upon their arrival to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
A significant and symbolic gesture, a red envelope is given at Chinese New Year to bring the receiver good luck for the year ahead and the colour is considered a symbol of energy, happiness and luck throughout the country. It usually contains a small amount of money to bring happiness and blessings.
In honour of this tradition, Bicester Village will offer a red envelope containing exclusive offers and additional savings at selected brands throughout the Village during this period.
Chinese tourists arriving at the newly opened Bicester Village Station from London Marylebone will find their red envelope waiting for them at the Information Hub located next to the station. This luxurious new facility offers a Luggage Drop service as well as information on the Village and its more than 130 boutiques, details on tax-refunded shopping and a comfortable place to wait for their departing train. Envelopes can also be collected from the Bicester Visitor Centre in the Village.
