The £250k+ development will transform what was previously known as ‘The Moor Suite’, situated within the former Conservative Club which lies in the heart of Heaton Moor village. Work is currently in full swing to restore the building’s interior to its former 19th century grandeur, whilst providing the latest in 21st century facilities.
The development is the latest in a line of exciting new arrivals in Heaton Moor including the revitalised Savoy Cinema, which opened its doors in October 2015.
Work on the development commenced in October this year, led by locally based father and soninvestment team Stephen and Liam Dillon. The project will transform this architectural gem intoa facility for the local community, providing The Heatons with an outstanding and unique space forboth leisure and business use. Village Point will offer everything from a stunning ballroom forweddings and private dining to an inspiring and affordable workspace for local business people.
Village Point will comprise of three separate spaces for business and leisure: The 200 person capacity Ballroom, The Lodge which will hold smaller events for up to 100 people and The Hub.
A 200 person capacity events space, The Ballroom will be the glamorous location for a whole hostof private events from weddings to business conferences. Created to the highest possible specification, the space will feature statement chandeliers, a full-sized bar and stage for live performances, as well as state of the art facilities including a Bose® audio-visual system. An experienced event management team will look after every aspect of each booking, working with a close network of local suppliersincluding chefs, designers and musicians to deliver events to any chosen theme.
A smaller, relaxed and ambient setting for up to 100 people, The Lodge is a perfect location for evening events and more intimate weddings. It will also play host to regular live music events. The space will be open for private bookings throughout the week for various types of occasions, including networking events, business meetings, and art exhibitions.
The Hub will provide a dedicated space for those who need it in a tastefully designed and professionalenvironment. Created for freelancers, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and students, it will provide each member with a fully-allocated desk, 27” LCD flatscreen, business-class WiFi, full mailing address (with package receipt services), and a locker to store items such as laptops and documents.

Village Point is due to open in Heaton Moor in Spring 2016.
