Woburn Safari Park’s newly-redesigned events venue reopens offering ‘Wild’ corporate and party experiences

The Safari Lodge at Woburn Safari Park
< The Safari Lodge at Woburn Safari Park in Bedfordshire has reopened following a complete internal and extensive external renovation. The newly-redesigned venue is situated amid the animal enclosures of the Foot Safari and offers organisers a versatile events and meetings space, at just around an hour from London, Birmingham, Oxford and Cambridge.

Overlooking Swan Lake and the Desert Springs meerkat habitat, the Safari Lodge combines stunning views with new décor, stylish luxury furniture, audio visual equipment and a newly-extended decked veranda.  The venue can hold up to 300 guests and has been designed to add an adventurous flavour to corporate functions and product launches, team building experiences, company away days and conferences. The versatile room space can be split into two, transformed into a boardroom, set up as a theatre, a lavish reception, a luxury dinner or a barbeque or hog roast on the veranda.

Wild guest experiences are also on offer to enhance events, and can be tailored for different corporate and private occasions. Choose from unique VIP experiences to encounter the animals up close; exhilarating Go Ape adventures and ‘Safari Survival’ team building activities.

VIP Experiences - getting closer to the wildlife
The unforgettable Safari Off Road Adventure VIP Experience adds a new dimension to any event. An experienced ranger will escort guests in a Land Rover, with a journey through the park to meet the carnivores in Lion Park; fascinating monkeys in the African Forest reserve; and critically endangered animals like the striking Eastern mountain bongo. The ranger will provide in-depth commentary about their names, characters and personalities, and offer a behind the scenes visit to one of the new animal houses.

Go Ape at Woburn Safari Park
For thrill seekers, there is the Go Ape course for a high wire treetop adventure to get the adrenaline pumping. Delegates receive a full safety briefing before embarking on a course of rope bridges and swings, and treetop obstacles before flying down the zip wires in the woodland of Woburn Safari Park.

‘Safari Survival’ Team Building
Delegates can try their hand at a team building adventure game ‘Safari Survival’ and face some wild challenges in the Foot Safari as they meet some of the magnificent wild residents there; competing in small teams by completing a selection of trials with the animals.

Other event experiences on offer include Up Close Encounters with penguins, meerkats, birds of prey or lemurs. The park boasts further space for companies that might be looking to include a large marquee, outdoor games or need space for a larger product display area.
