The Brew welcome wine and frapas pop-up to their office-café hybrid

The Brew, London co-working space provider and pioneers of the UK’s first office-café hybrid, is continuing to innovate with a thrilling new pop-up opening just for the Christmas season.
Papilles is the sophisticated wine and frapas (French tapas) pop-up at 163 City Rd, EC1V 1NR, with selections put together by award-winning sommeliers and artisan Frapas producers based in Borough Market. Open from the 24th November – 23rd December, the pop-up will be the go-to destination for after-work wine sampling or breaks between Christmas shopping trips – and the 11pm closing time means there’s plenty of time to taste everything Papilles has to offer.

Jonathan Dupont, Owner of Papilles comments, “Four weeks might not be enough time to turn you into Oz Clarke, but we’ll be giving it a jolly good go! With expert sommeliers and experimentation encouraged, Papilles is all about explosions of flavour and delighting your palate. We’re also proud of our wallet-friendly prices – you’ll be able to order small glasses of wine for just £3, and bottles start at just £15. We know that Christmas is an expensive time for everyone, so we’ve made a special effort to ensure guests at our pop-up can have plenty of fun without breaking the bank!”

The Frapas selection is perfect for lining stomachs, with a charcuterie selection offering tender Coppa ham from the Jura region of France, and Bresi and Terrine de Campagne from Franche Comte. The cheese platter will include a matured Comte Grande Reverse, aromatic Raclette from the Alps, oaky Val de Loue washed in Jura brandy and the stinkiest cheese in France – Maroilles from the Picardie. C’est magnifique!

The extensive wine list has been chosen by Jonathan Dupont, award-winning former Head Sommelier and Restaurant Manager at Quaglino’s, as well as his wife Anne, a world-renowned sommelier in her own right. Both will be on hand around the pop-up to share their vast wealth of wine experience, recommending and guiding all guests to wines that will tantalise the taste buds and satisfy all of the senses.

The pop-up is the latest in a line of dynamic innovations by The Brew Eagle House Coffice – an office-cafe hybrid which has also proved hugely successful since its launch as a free workspace for London's freelancer community. Visitors to the Coffice can sample freshly-brewed London roasted coffee and delicious food, as well as taking advantage of the comfortable surroundings to work with a collaborative community of freelancers, entrepreneurs, creatives and small business owners. The Papilles pop-up will help to draw more free spirits and creatives to the venue, which can only be a good thing for the many skilled professionals working there on a regular basis.
