Gothenburg ranks high in delegate satisfaction

Nine out of ten delegates at the recent Euro Attractions Show were very satisfied with Gothenburg as host city. In fact, they even would consider coming back or recommend the destination to relatives or acquaintances.
The survey was made among the delegates at the Euro Attractions Show (EAS), for the first time held in Scandinavia on 6 – 8 October. Gothenburg as host city and The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre as venue, receives very high rankings.

The European Attraction Show is organized annually by The international Association ofAmusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA). The event gathered 7.000 exhibitors and visitors from all around the world who came to discover and introduce new products, to network and participate in seminars and forums. Many of them first-time visitors to Gothenburg.

Their impression of the city was extremely good, according to the survey. A clear majority had a positive experience of the event. Most satisfied were participants with the facilities (93 percent) and the service, treatment etc. (91 percent). The highest score is given the overall impression of Gothenburg as a destination (98 percent) and service/treatment in Gothenburg (98 percent satisfied). All areas that concern the satisfaction of the destination had a percentage share of 90 percent satisfied or above.

More than 80 percent of the respondents even said they would consider coming back to Gothenburg for an event or non-business purposes or even recommend the destination to friends, relatives or acquaintances.

"We know from previous events that delegates rank Gothenburg high as a meetings destination. On average 6,4 at a 7-grade scale. But that 8 delegates out of 10 consider repeat visit, or recommend us to friends really is a very positive result," says Lennart Johansson director at Gothenburg Convention Bureau.
