The venue, renowned for inspiring and innovative events, has further enhanced its corporate events offer with the option of an exclusive private viewing of the new exhibition after 6pm, followed by dinner or drinks in one of the museum’s exciting gallery spaces.
Running until March 2016, Cosmonauts: Birth of the Space Age will reveal the most significant collection of Russian spacecraft and artefacts ever to be shown in the UK. Visitors can discover the dramatic story of how Russia turned the dream of space travel into a reality and became the first nation to explore space in this once-in-a-lifetime exhibition.
Following an exclusive viewing of the blockbuster exhibition, clients can choose to keep the space theme running throughout their event by holding an evening dinner or drinks reception in Exploring Space. The atmospheric gallery contains a fascinating collection of rockets, satellites, space probes and landers and can accommodate 300 guests for a reception and 180 for a dinner.
Other gallery spaces available include the Energy Hall, which links together the past and present of Britain’s engineering achievements since the Industrial Revolution and features an operational 1903 Harle Skye Mill engine, and Making the Modern World which offers an awe-inspiring backdrop chronicling the inventions that formed modern society.
Jodie Guilford, Event Sales Manager at Science Museum, says: “We are very pleased to be able to offer clients a private viewing of our new Cosmonauts exhibition, which opens later this month. Clients booking evening events in our exiting range of gallery spaces can now make the night even more special by treating their guests to an exclusive viewing of this inspiring new exhibition.”
