Weston Park joins the portfolio, having signed a five-year contract worth almost £5million with Levy Restaurants UK, the sports, leisure and hospitality sector of Compass Group UK & Ireland. The new business partnership will see Levy Restaurants UK provide a range of event and retail catering services to visitors whilst LVP will be focusing on increasing sales for events at Weston Park by supporting the on-site team, and providing central sales and marketing support.
With its classical architecture and formal parkland setting Weston Park provides a fantastic location for conferences, leadership away days and board meetings and has a long history of hosting high profile events including the G8 Summit Retreat Day and the Northern Ireland Peace Talks. Meeting organisers will enjoy the exclusive accommodation options and total security and privacy that Weston Park offers.
This summer will see a new opening on the estate, a luxury self-catering holiday property, the Temple of Diana, which has been recently restored to the highest standards. It’s an exquisite setting to enjoy a unique short break, celebration or corporate stay sleeping six people in three double bedrooms, set over three floors.
Jo Austin, head of sales for Lime Venue Portfolio, said: “The addition of the beautiful Weston Park is a great step forward for Lime Venue Portfolio as it further increases our geographic spread and ability to offer our customers greater choice. With its superb facilities and 28 bedrooms we are sure it will prove a very popular addition to our portfolio.”
Colin Sweeney, chief executive of the Weston Park Foundation added: “We’re delighted with our decision to work with Levy Restaurants UK to provide our venue catering, as we believe they are the right partner to support our growth through their experience and expertise. We are looking forward to joining Lime Venue Portfolio and working with their experienced sales and marketing team to highlight our outstanding venue to an even wider audience.”
