Meet The Future set to stage world first technology demonstrations

Central Hall Westminster today announces that next week’s ‘Meet the [email protected] conference will feature a number of never before seen technology demonstrations alongside a wide selection of leading event technology exhibitors and speakers.

The award-winning conference will be combining holographic projection with 3D scan animation in a world first experiment to challenge how delegates perceive the connection between technology and physical events.  Pre-recorded filming has already taken place in a specialist studio with BBC journalist and ‘Meet the Future’ keynote presenter Kate Russell, ahead of the demonstration.

‘Meet the Future’ will also be the first conference to feature the Traces app, a unique tool that gamifies content sharing. Tested at SXSW, Traces allows users to upload content such as documents, videos and audio clips to a physical location using their smartphone. This content can then be found by anyone using the Traces app by holding up their smartphone camera and hunting for the ‘trace’ – displayed as a bubble on the screen.

The first 100 delegates through the door will be given the chance to use networking and content sharing tool LOOPD, the first time the technology has been showcased in Europe.

Maria Schuett, Head of Marketing at Central Hall and Meet The Future conference producer, comments: “We strive to deliver content that is not only mind-blowing and exciting, but also practical with a real connection to the future of events. We want to give our delegates the chance to step outside of their everyday lives and experience something that they won’t find anywhere else.

“Meet the Future @CentralHall has grown to be a landmark event in the calendar for planners, having very quickly established itself as a leading technology conference. The interest we see from both delegates and exhibitors goes to show how thirsty people are for events of this kind and we are excited to be leading the way.”

‘Meet the Future’ will bring together 350 senior-level event planners on 9th June 2015 to experience innovative technology, practical demonstrations and keynotes from event technology experts.
