Hampshire’s Conference Bureau is set to welcome three ground breaking new venues opening within the county in 2015. The venue’s represent the very best of Hampshire, and include iconic, individual and unique products for meetings and events planners.
2015 will see the arrival of the Hilton at The Ageas Bowl, based at the home of Hampshire cricket, and promising a ‘resort’ experience when it opens its doors this month. The four-star hotel will have spectacular views overlooking the famous cricket ground, as well as a spa, high-end restaurant, banqueting facilities for up to 700 people and a new 18-hole golf course. All 171 bedrooms will have either a view of the pitch or the planned golf course.

As well as some fantastic leisure facilities, the new hotel is set to offer one of the largest and most versatile corporate and banqueting spaces in the region – perfect for everything from small meetings or private functions to large exhibitions and weddings.  Dominic Osborne, general manager, Hilton at The Ageas Bowl, said: “We are now in the very final stages of construction and plans are progressing well. The team and I are thoroughly looking forward to welcoming the hotel’s first guests and unveiling what we have been working on during the length of this exciting project.”

Also for 2015, Ben Ainslie Racing (BAR) is working on a permanent base and visitors' centre at The Camber in Old Portsmouth. The base will be finished and the team operational in May 2015, in time for the 35th America's Cup challenge, the oldest trophy in international sport, taking place in Portsmouth in July 2015.  Following the race, the facility will also offer a conference and event space on the waterfront. The venue is anticipated to be available late 2015.

Finally, Bistro8, located inside Universal Marina, Sarisbury Green is a luxury bar and restaurant that has recently been taken over by Hampshire based food giants Wise Catering. The venue boasts a 40-cover restaurant area, private boardroom facilities and stunning gardens overlooking the marina.

Shirley Pinn, the bureaus Director commented “Adding three fabulous venues to our portfolio is fantastic, and gathering huge interest in the county. The long awaited opening of the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl is now upon us, adding a great number of conference rooms and 171 bedrooms to the counties conference stock. The team at the bureau are working on a number of familiarisation trips for the autumn so that we can showcase these venues to conference organisers.”
