Tropic Skin Care confirmed as first corporate booking at Birmingham's newest conference centre

Lord Sugar and Apprentice star Susan Ma
Tropic Skin Care, co-owned by Lord Sugar and Apprentice star Susan Ma, has been confirmed as the first corporate booking at Birmingham’s newest conference centre, the Vox.
The fast-growing beauty company is taking exclusive use of the state-of-the-art conference facilities, which includes five conference suites and three boardrooms, for the Tropic Skin Care Glambassador event in September 2015.

The event is organised by Pandora Events and will see around 700 Tropic Skin Care Ambassadors descend on the contemporary venue for a themed day that rewards and recognises top achievers, inspires future sales and reveals new products.

With attendees from across the UK, the venue location was one of Tropic Skin Care’s top priorities in its brief to Pandora Events. With the Vox located on the NEC site at the heart of England, it has impressive motorway links and is in close proximity to Birmingham International Rail Station and Birmingham Airport, therefore making it an ideal choice.

On choosing the Vox Vanessa Carter, Events Director at Pandora Events, said: “We’ve been working with Tropic Skin Care for two years now and each year the Glambassadors event has grown, accommodating more and more attendees. With inspiring talks, product reveals, awards and recognition, food and entertainment we needed a venue that offered flexibility and space.

“The event is incredible as it is fully themed, very glamorous and very inspiring and motivating, and so we wanted a venue that was in synergy with this and that would be special for those attending. We’ve only seen the Vox as a building site, but from the vision, plans, computer generated images and fly-through video we knew it would be an amazing venue and fit all our criteria and more.

“We can’t wait to bring the Tropic Skin Care event to the Vox in September as we’re confident they’ll love it as much as we do.”

The Vox conference facilities will include plug and play technology, together with complimentary delegate Wi-Fi. An audio visual, sound, lighting and crew package is included in the quoted cost, and a media wall and digital signage will also be available for use.

James Elston, Sales Director for the Vox, said: “We’re delighted to announce that Tropic Skin Care is our first confirmed corporate booking and we look forward to welcoming the Ambassadors, Susan Ma and Lord Alan Sugar to our vibrant new conference centre. As well as innovative conference facilities and event expertise, its location within Resorts World Birmingham offers delegates at the Vox a wide choice of restaurants, bars, outlet shopping, an Asian themed spa, IMAX cinema, hotel and casino all under one roof. This new proposition, never seen before in the UK, enables organisers to provide their delegates with a unique end to end conference experience.”

With five conference suites, three boardrooms and a spacious foyer overlooking Pendigo lake, the Vox offers a welcoming and flexible layout and is able to accommodate any type of event from a small seminar or meeting for just a few people to a banquet for 850, or a conference for 900 delegates.

The Vox is managed by the experienced team at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham, which brings nearly 25 years’ experience of providing creative solutions for a wide range of conferences, banquets and events for a multitude of high profile clients.
