Chez Roux at QIPCO Guineas Festival as part of Jockey Club Fine Dining

Albert Roux is a name synonymous with the very best in fine dining and the highest quality Michelin-starred cuisine and so Newmarket Racecourses has announced that he will be partnering to produce Chez Roux, a restaurant at the QIPCO Guineas Festival.

Chez Roux will offer race-goers the chance to combine Jockey Club Fine Dining alongside top quality racing.  Albert will produce a menu specially designed and served exclusively at Chez Roux.  The restaurant is in a prime position over the two days, with stunning panoramic views of the racecourse, in the Millennium Grandstand; it is an exclusive setting from which to watch the very best racehorses in the world.  

Albert Roux said, “I am delighted to be part of the hospitality at this year’s QIPCO Guineas Festival.  I have always been aware of horseracing in the UK and the unique sport that captures the attention of so many people.  

“Being part of The Jockey Club Fine Dining offering at such a prestigious event like the QIPCO Guineas Festival is an honour and I have worked on the menus to ensure that they are the quality that people associate with the Roux name and the very best of cuisine.”  

Albert was Head Chef in the early part of his career at Fairlawne Estate in Kent, which was the home of Peter Cazalet, a racehorse trainer who trained horses for The Queen Mother.  Peter was a great supporter of Albert’s, especially in setting up Le Gavroche in London, his signature restaurant and the first restaurant to be awarded three Michelin stars in the UK.  

Chez Roux is one of just a handful of restaurants that form “The Jockey Club Fine Dining” offer, representing the very best hospitality experience that The Jockey Club has to offer.  

The Chez Roux Package includes a delicious four course menu, alongside a welcome reception with canapés and afternoon tea.
