Twickenham sees 63% rise in February event sales

Twickenham Experience has seen a 63% increase in event sales in February this year in comparison with sales in February 2014. The venue has seen a marked increase in enquiries and bookings across all types of event, particularly large events and meetings, which made up 81% of the total number of bookings during the month of February.

The increase in sales has been attributed to a focused sales effort along with presence at industry events and trade shows to increase awareness of the facilities available. The results of this saw the conference and events sales team receive enquiries with a total potential revenue value of almost £1.8m during the month of February.

Head of Conference and Event Sales James Lee says: “I’m delighted we’ve started the year with such great results. We have an experienced team of sales professionals here at Twickenham who work tirelessly in promoting Twickenham as one of the leading venues for conferences and events in the UK. Meetings and large production events are core to our business so it’s great to see such a strong proportion of these being booked. I think our versatility and the variety of spaces and capacities at Twickenham mean that we can offer a great environment for teams and delegates to re-group and truly focus. I think this will be the year that people realise the value of the inspirational environment we offer and I hope we will continue to benefit from this not just before and during, but also after such a momentous year for the home of England Rugby.”
