Belfast Waterfront to host Responsible Business Awards for sixth time

2015 has kicked off to a flying start for Belfast Waterfront Conference and Exhibition Centre with Business in the Community Northern Ireland choosing it to host its most prestigious Gala Awards. This year’s Responsible Business Awards in Northern Ireland will be held on Thursday 4 June and will mark the sixth time Belfast Waterfront has staged the event.

Now in its tenth year, Business in the Community’s Gala Awards has become one of the most prestigious events in Northern Ireland’s business calendar, attracting over 500 business leaders.

The awards recognise and celebrate the best of corporate responsibility (CR) in Northern Ireland. So it is only fitting that such outstanding achievements are showcased and celebrated in one of the world’s best conference centres.

Belfast Waterfront is arguably the best venue for creating a show-stopping awards ceremony. Set against a spectacular backdrop of the city skyline, its interior design radiates grandeur and boasts stylish spaces perfect for staging an evening’s extravaganza of world-class entertainment and celebrations. Last year, the winners of Britain`s Got Talent 2010, ‘Spellbound’, and 2014 BGT’s semi-finalists ‘Innova’ took centre stage and delivered mesmerising performances.

As the preferred venue, its popularity for hosting award ceremonies goes well beyond aesthetics.

Behind the scenes is a highly experienced production team who work in close partnership with Business in the Community to make its vision a reality whilst ensuring the event runs seamlessly.

Time and time again its team of chefs pull out all the stops to whip up culinary delights which both exceed expectations and wow guests. None could match their imagination and flare for creating a mouth-watering array of locally sourced produce for the ‘organic city picnic’ in 2014. It`s hard to believe that anything could top this, but the 2015 Gala Awards Ceremony promises to be even bigger and better than before.

Business in the Community’s Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, Allison Miller explains: “For a business to operate responsibly and sustainably, it takes time, effort and commitment from the top of the organisation. We are delighted that our membership in Northern Ireland is growing year on year and our Awards are an important point in the annual calendar for everyone to take a little bit of time out to celebrate the great work that is being done by businesses of all sizes and sectors here.”

“We have an incredible partnership with the Belfast Waterfront team. They ensure we have everything we need and always go the extra mile to make our event exceptional. I am sure this year will be no different!”

Jennifer Patterson, Revenue and Business Generation Manager at Belfast Waterfront Conference and Exhibition Centre added: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome back the most prestigious Responsible Business awards ceremony in Northern Ireland. To host the tenth Business in the Community NI Gala Awards is a real endorsement of our ability to stage show-stopping events. With our unrivalled reputation and the opening of a 4,000m2 extension in 2016, which will significantly increase our capacity, we look forward to welcoming many more larger events.”

The 2015 awards are now open for entries and Belfast Waterfront has been selected to host the ‘Awards Big Breakfast: Showcase and Share’ event on Tuesday 27 January 2015. This invaluable event will see 2014 winners share what they did, why they won and their top tips on writing an award winning entry.
