Bridwell House and Deer Park opens doors for events in the New Year

Bridwell House and Deer Park
In the New Year, event planners will have exclusive access to a very special venue in Uffculme, Devon – Bridwell House and Deer Park – which will be opening its doors for private hire for the first time in its 240-year history, allowing both businesses and private individuals exclusive use of its stunning residence and 100 acre parkland.

Home to Lord Ivar Mountbatten, Bridwell offers a wealth of flexible space to accommodate a host of events, from the main house boasting elegantly appointed reception rooms and an impressive dining room that is perfectly suited for use as a board room or banqueting suite, to the newly renovated Orangery that can seat up to 150 people. Or for more intimate events, the gothic-style Chapel is a great space, creating a most impressive and unusual venue for board meetings, small conferences, theatre-style presentations or drinks receptions.

With dramatic views over the surrounding countryside and Deer roaming the grounds, Bridwell has a magical feel to it that is sure to make it a hot contender for anyone wishing to create a really special event.

Lord Mountbatten comments: “I am really pleased to be opening up my home for corporate and private events and the response to the venue so far has been staggering. We are thrilled to be helping so many people achieve their dream event – from large corporates wishing to put on team building days and dinners, to intimate family celebrations or even hen and stag parties.

The fun part is meeting those responsible for planning the event and seeing their eyes widen when they realise the endless possibilities available to them – the only real limitation is people’s imagination.”

Bridwell also offers lavish accommodation and Bridwell’s events team has curated an impressive list of partner organsations to help planners create their ideal event.

Vicky Blackmore-Squires, Bridwell’s Events Director, adds: “From the outset we have been dedicated to selecting the ‘best of the best’ to work with, from carefully selected caterers to making glamping a possibility in the grounds – thanks to our friends at the Pop-Up Hotel – to offering outdoor pursuits, we have an extensive black book of contacts we are happy to share with those using Bridwell as their venue of choice.”
