New generation workplace launches on 15th December for motorists and flexible workersRegus, the global workspace provider, opens the doors to its first ‘Regus Express’ on the M5 motorway on Monday 15th December, at Strensham North motorway service area.
The new generation workplace will feature a drop-in business lounge and high-specification meeting rooms available by the hour. Based on the experience of other Regus Express sites already open on the motorway network, it is likely to attract those wanting to hold out-of-town meetings and local self-employed people seeking an occasional alternative to the home office, as well as motorists passing through.
Professionals who work at the wheel are an increasing concern on the roads; previous research commissioned by Regus revealed that two fifths of mobile workers had dialled into conference calls whilst driving. Dedicated workplaces like Regus Express offer a convenient place to stop off and work, for a few minutes or a few hours, in a professional environment rather than a roadside café.
Phil Kemp, Global Managing Director of Regus Third Place said: “We are excited to open our first workplace on the M5, which will shortly be followed by several other locations across Roadchef’s network.
“One of the primary ways that they are used is by motorists dropping in to check their emails and make urgent phone calls, rather than doing this at the wheel. Regus Express offers them a safe, quiet and productive business environment. They also serve as convenient meeting points, and occasional workspace for remote workers.”
