Minden Suite at The Fusilier Museum now open for business

Minden Suite at The Fusilier Museum
The Fusilier Museum, Bury recently opened a new conference and events space as part of its £1.4m top floor redevelopment. The project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, comes complete with a new state-of-the-art conference and events space The Minden Suite which can be used as one space or divided into two – The Rose and The Primrose rooms.

The suite can accommodate up-to 240 people theatre style, and is perfectly positioned to enjoy plentiful natural light. The Minden Suite has been specifically designed to be multipurpose – allowing the setting to be tailored to a range of events including conferences, meetings, dinners, product launches, exhibitions and weddings. The space is a blank canvas, with its neutral decor, which makes the perfect setting for any event requiring branding or the wow factor. It also has the very latest state-of-the-art equipment available as standard which can be used as part of any event.

The Minden Suite is also located directly alongside the museum’s new banqueting kitchen; ensuring that all food at any event goes straight from the hot plate to table within seconds. A new exhibition space The Quartermaster’s Store, located across the hall from the suite, also provides a unique backdrop for drinks receptions and networking events.

Helen Smith, General Manager of The Fusilier Museum, said: “The Minden Suite is a fabulous new event facility which is not only located in the town centre for easy access for delegates or guests but it’s also flexible, spacious and decorated in keeping with the rest of the building. We are extremely proud of the finished product and we look forward to welcoming many clients both old and new in the forthcoming months.”

The grade two listed building offers both the elegance of the Victorian era in traditional rooms, and the modern art and craft décor in the new, multipurpose event spaces. The museum also boasts two more traditional rooms; The Gallipoli Room and The Normandy Room. The Gallipoli Room is an exquisite setting with mahogany panelled walls and a beautiful feature fireplace. The Regimental Silver, chandeliers and imposing portraits from the museum’s collection make it the perfect setting for a board meeting or private dining. The Normandy Room is a self-contained events space with high ceilings and lots of natural daylight. On the walls of the room you will find the board of honour which pays tribute to those awarded medals during the First World War. The Normandy room is a great space ideal for parties, celebrations, drinks receptions or day meetings.
