Arsenal Meetings and Events host University of Westminster Event Students

Arsenal Meetings and Events hosted 65 event students from the University of Westminster yesterday for a tour of Emirates Stadium's event spaces, concluding with a Q&A session with Martin Pond (Sales Executive) and Martina Rossi (Senior Event Executive).

Providing an in-depth understanding of the event spaces at Emirates Stadium, the students visited the four multi-purpose event suites, the more intimate dining areas, including the prestigious Diamond Club, and the world-famous pitch itself, which has been used for corporate events for the first time this year.

During the Q&A session, Carlo touched on the range of events possible at the venue, from concerts to meetings, and the flexibility and professionalism needed from the Event Team.

Dr Claire Humphreys, Course Leader at the University of Westminster, said: "As students start out on their careers in the events industry it is vital that they gain understanding of the role of event managers and the intricacies of hosting corporate and private events.  Our visit to the Emirates Stadium provides students at the University of Westminster with an invaluable opportunity to learn about the excellent work of event professionals, as well as providing students with the chance to link their learning with real-world practice, the generous sharing of such an experience by the Arsenal events team is both inspirational and aspirational."

Carlo Zoccali, Meetings and Events Manager, said: "It was great to have the opportunity to show these students around and explain what it is our event team does at the venue. Emirates has a rare quality in that the spaces were designed with events in mind. Our team enjoyed being able to touch upon and impart some knowledge on all types of events."
