Attendees from the financial, television and legal sectors, were among the 250 guests invited to preview the lounge, designed by Brighton based Platform Group, whilst being treated to the full VIP backstage experience.
Guests were greeted with champagne on arrival, a selection of bespoke and classic cocktails, and an array of canapés.
A live band provided musical entertainment as guests explored the new look features, including private dining suites and walls decorated with images of The O2’s most memorable performers, emulating the luxury design of the artists’ own backstage area.
Rebecca Kane, General Manager at The O2, says: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer VIPs an experience like no other in The American Express Invites Lounge. We wanted to create a desirable space that could give guests a truly unique and exclusive experience to compliment the calibre of entertainment available at The O2. Now guests will not only get the best seats in the house, but the privilege and glamour of the full backstage experience, creating an unforgettable night out for all VIPs.”
VIP membership is £4,500 per person and includes ten shows of the member’s choice annually, guaranteed access to every show with the best seats in the house, entry to the new American Express Invites Lounge and a dedicated account manager.
