Qatar Airways hosts a 'Night at the Museum' in Manchester

Qatar Airways, in conjunction with Manchester Airport (MAG), hosted a ‘Night at the Museum’ reception for more than 100 key trade partners on October 29th. In keeping with the airline’s tradition of supporting sports teams and events, such as its sponsorship of FC Barcelona, the event was held at the National Football Museum in Manchester.

As well as showcasing more than 10 years of Qatar Airways serving the Manchester region, the evening was highly interactive courtesy of the museum’s unique Football Plus concept. Guests’ football skills were put to the test on challenges ranging from Match of the Day Commentary to penalty shootouts to win prizes ranging from flights to FC Barcelona gear.

UK and Ireland Country Manager, Richard Oliver, said: “Qatar Airways is committed to serving the UK regions by offering a more convenient alternative for long haul travellers. With 10 direct flights per week from Manchester to the airline’s hub, the recently opened Hamad International Airport in Doha, customers can connect to more than 140 key business and leisure destinations across six continents.”
