Event Buyers Live on course with speakers

Event Buyers Live has announced the keynote opening address will be made by Michael Wells, R&A Championship staging director for The Open, with Red Arrows Mission Excellence operations director Jas Hawker opening the seminar program imparting high flying business advice, 4-5 March, 2015.
The man in charge of staging The Open golf championship is the first key speaker to be revealed. Wells will open the event on March 4, 2015, delivering the keynote address to more than 140 events professionals.


Wells, who has climbed through the ranks of the organisation, honing his event skills, has full responsibility for delivering the UK’s most prestigious golf tournament and ensuring that more than 180,000 visitors have the best spectator experience. He will share insights of his experiences behind the scenes, from the strategy to implementation, to produce an event that sets the standards with broadcaster and public experience.

From his background as a Red Arrows team leader, Hawker will give EBL delegates a unique insight into how organisations can adapt approaches used in the military to improve their ability to successfully execute winning business strategies in constantly changing environments. The highly interactive workshop builds on the core concepts of ‘After Action Review’, the learning process used by fighter pilots.

Event Buyers Live 2015 will take place at the prestigious five-star Luton Hoo Hotel, Bedfordshire. Event organisers looking for fresh ideas and contacts for their events are being encouraged to register for the two-day event, which facilitates pre-arranged face-to-face meetings between organisers and suppliers.
