The Vox Conference Centre announces first association booking

The Vox Conference Centre, opening at Resorts World Birmingham in Spring 2015, has confirmed its first association booking – the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) Winter Scientific Meeting 2015.
The annual three day event will be held in November next year at the new Vox Conference Centre. BAPRAS will have exclusive tenancy of the state of the art venue, making full use of Vox Suites 1 to 5 for conference sessions, break out areas and exhibition space.

The BAPRAS Winter Scientific Meeting held in London in 2014 is moving to Birmingham in 2015. The pull of the vibrant new conference centre, located within an integrated leisure complex was enough for organisers to move the event out of the capital for the first time in more than 65 years.

As well as innovative conference facilities and event expertise, its location within Resorts World Birmingham offers delegates at the Vox a huge choice of restaurants, bars, shops, a spa, cinema, hotel and casino all under one roof. This new proposition, never seen before in the UK, enables organisers to provide their delegates with a unique end to end conference experience.

The flexible layout of the Vox can accommodate any type of event from a small seminar or meeting for just a few people, to a banquet for 850 or a conference for 900 delegates. The new conference facilities will include plug and play technology, together with complimentary delegate Wi-Fi. An audio visual, sound, lighting and crew package is included in the quoted cost, and a media wall and digital signage will also be available for use.

James Elston, Sales Director for the Vox said: “We are delighted to confirm the first association booking for the Vox and look forward to welcoming BAPRAS to our brand new venue next year. The Vox is the perfect choice for those looking for an impressive but affordable venue in contemporary surroundings. Its central location makes it an obvious choice for Midlands based clients, but its impressive motorway links and close proximity to Birmingham International Rail Station and Birmingham Airport also make it easily accessible for clients, such as BAPRAS, looking for an alternative to London.”

Gemma Adlington, Events and Communications Administrator for BAPRAS said: “BAPRAS is pleased to be coming to Birmingham in 2015 – only the second time the Association has held its Winter Scientific Meeting outside of London since 1946.”
