A Taste of Exclusive in the City
Luxury British country house hotel group Exclusive Hotels and Venues last night hosted a vibrant showcase of its market-leading meetings and events proposition in the heart of the capital, welcoming over three hundred UK based event organisers to experience a ‘Taste of Exclusive’ in London’s bustling Borough Market.

The experiential event transported guests through a journey of exploration that demonstrated the award-winning cuisine and innovative philosophies of the Exclusive brand. Highlights included a series of live cookery demonstrations from multi-award winning Exclusive Chefs, including two Michelin Starred Michael Wignall at The Latymer, Pennyhill Park in Surrey, Matt Gillan at The Pass in South Lodge, Horsham, and Richard Davies of The Bybrook, at The Manor House Castle Combe, and the triple AA rossetted Head Chef of The Avenue, Lainston House, Winchester, Olly Rouse.  

Dishes prepared included Herring, carrot, shallot, bacon, apple; Skate, quinoa, onion, hazelnut, lime; Venison, parsley, beetroot, blackberry; Crab salad, Mackerel and Apple crisp with fresh Asian flavours.  

Effectively demonstrating its commitment to advancing technologies, Exclusive Hotels and Venues partnered with The Live Group, the industry leading event technology solutions provider, to create a bespoke mobile App for guests to download prior to the event. The fully-branded ‘Taste of Exclusive’ mobile App provided event details, access to forum discussions and social media channels as well as the option to message and exchange contact details with other guests. The mobile App also used iBeacon technology to demonstrate its recently launched locator function that offered guests the ability to find colleagues and peers, making networking easier than ever before.  

As the night proceeded, guests enjoyed free-flowing English sparkling wine from Exclusive’s drinks partner Nyetimber and those with a sweeter tooth were able to create their own ice cream courtesy of Custom Creams, the creator of the ultimate liquid nitrogen ice-cream factory, using the unique ‘CryoMixer’ ice cream machine that proved quite a focal point.

As the evening drew to a close, the winner of the evening’s luxury prize draw, a no-expense spared trip to the Caribbean, in association with Elite Island Resorts, was won by a delighted Siobain Rolston from Standard Chartered Bank.
