Champneys proves a hit with Meeting and Event Planners

Champneys exterior
Luxury spa resort, Champneys, frequented by the rich and famous has proved to be a big attraction for Meeting and Events planners from across the UK.
The resort is the setting for the next Independent Venue Showcase, the event which brings together independent venues and Meeting and Events planners in spectacular and unusual settings for an evening of networking and entertainment.

Following on from the success of previous Independent Venue Showcases across the country, CHS Group announced plans to hold their latest Showcase at Champneys Resort in Tring on Monday 22nd September and the event immediately proved popular with Meeting Event Planners with 80% signing up within the first 2 days.

The Independent Venue Showcases offers an opportunity for around 30 UK venues to meet and network with an equal number of pre-qualified buyers. Buyers get to meet small and exclusive independent venues along with some larger, unusual venues whilst the venues themselves get the chance to meet with numerous pre-qualified buyers in one evening and in one location.

The Showcase evening consists of informal and informative networking over welcome drinks, followed by an evening of dinner and entertainment with the opportunity to mingle with the venues and fellow buyers throughout - all taking place within one of the UK's most compelling and unique venues.

Champneys Luxury resort is one of the UK’s most renowned spa resorts. This romantic stately home in Hertfordshire, once owned by the Rothschild family and set in 170 acres of rolling parkland is the vision of one man, Stanley Lief, who over 85 years ago pioneered the concept of holistic wellbeing, creating a place where people could escape the world’s cares and re-emerge revitalised.

Champneys are celebrating their 90th anniversary with a £10 million pound refurbishment programme which started in October 2013 and will run to November 2015.  Aimed at showcasing the quintessentially British character and heritage of their countryside health spas, the refurbishment programme at Tring includes the public area, the mansion house bedrooms, the Tring Drawing room and £3 million on the health spa.

Clare Lee, Sales Manager for Champneys resort Tring said: “We are delighted to be hosting the next Independent Venue Showcase,  as not only does it allow us to meet with many buyers in one evening but it gives us a great opportunity for potential clients to experience Champney's for themselves. "

One of the buyers registered to attend is Clare Beech, Managing Director of Azura Events who said: “I am looking forward to the Showcase as it allows me to meet with several independent venues in one evening and in a spectacular setting too”
