BHIVA brings its Annual Conference to Brighton

The British HIV Association (BHIVA) has confirmed Brighton as the host destination for its 21st annual conference which will be held at the Brighton Centre over 3 days from 22 – 24 April 2015.  Over 600 delegates are expected to attend the event, bringing an estimated £1m+ of economic benefit to the city.  The event was last held in Brighton in 2006.

BHIVA is a leading UK professional association representing professionals in HIV care. The annual BHIVA conference presents the latest research undertaken by trainees and others working in HIV centres across the UK and attracts a broad spectrum of participants including HIV clinicians, trainees, public health specialists, scientists and community representatives.

VisitBrighton’s Head of Sales, Julia Gallagher says: “It’s always very satisfying when organisers choose to return to the city as it’s testament that the destination and the VisitBrighton team have done what we say on the tin.

“We’re especially pleased that the association has been impressed with the improvements made at the Brighton Centre since their last visit and trust this will add even further value to their event this time around.”

Event organiser, Faarid Patel, says: “Our members and delegates love Brighton and the destination works well for them in terms of location and travel.  We know the city is always vibrant with a first class range of hotels, restaurants and cultural attractions but improvements made at the Brighton Centre since we were last in town now deliver our logistical requirements too.”
