ITS European Congress exceeded all expectations

The 10th ITS European Congress for intelligent transport systems and services was held in Finland for the first time on 16–19 June. The event attracted approximately 2,400 decision makers, engineers, researchers and other experts from over 60 countries to Messukeskus Helsinki, Expo and Convention Centre. The exhibition held at the same time included 80 exhibitors. The four seminar days offered 13 simultaneous seminars.

According to the organiser, Helsinki as a destination attracted new participants who came to visit Finland for the first time. Messukeskus Helsinki was perceived as a well-functioning, flexible and modern venue with highly professional staff.

"Organising a congress at Messukeskus Helsinki was a very positive experience. The team was helpful, professional and easy to work with. They will go to extremes to get everything running smoothly", states Congress Manager Céline Nieuwenhuys from MCI - the global event management company responsible for the event.

The ITS European Congress for intelligent transport systems and services is organised by Ertigo-ITS Europe in cooperation with the European Commission. ITS Finland, the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the City of Helsinki acted as the hosts of the event. The arrangements for the congress were carried out by MCI.
