Angela Hartnett joins host of Michelin chefs at Ascot

Smart by Angela Hartnett – the exclusive catering brand by London-based events and hospitality experts Smart Group – today announced a commission by Royal Ascot to design bespoke menus for the prestigious Winning Post Gardens and the Silk Lawns venues.

Exclusive to these areas, Hartnett has applied her Michelin-starred credentials to deliver delicious hampers and boards that have been especially designed to complement the size and style of the lawns. Relaxed, stylish and full of the culinary character that foodies have grown to expect from the celebrated chef, the menus have been created using locally sourced English dishes with a respectful nod to the season and also to Italian culinary ideologies – where sharing and provenance is everything.  

The concept will be presented in a mix of beautiful bowls, olive wood service boards and natural slate, injecting a little fun into the notion of fine dining. And for those looking to heighten the experience still further, the service can be enhanced by adding a variety of service personnel; there at each race-goer’s service.  

This is the second partnership announced between Ascot and Smart Group, with new brand Smart Experiences selling exquisite hospitality packages within The Royal Ascot Village, situated within the centre of the racecourse and with unbeatable views of the course and the Royal Procession.  Guests will enjoy a PIMMs reception, four course luncheon, a Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea party and exclusive hints and tips from jockeys and tipsters. Tickets are available for £299pp.  

The Winning Post Gardens Menus are available from £35 per person (minimum 12 people), with the Silk Lawns Picnic available from £40 per person (minimum 36 guests).
