Refreshed Dubai World Trade Centre venue to screen all the games from BrazilWith the countdown to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ firmly underway, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has revealed its luxurious The Majlis concept will screen every minute of action from this summer’s South American show-piece.
As one of city’s largest fully-catered venues screening all 64 games of the FIFA tournament, the 1,000-capacity arena will show live action on multiple screens - from the opening match between hosts Brazil and Croatia in Sao Paulo on Thursday 12 June, right through to the title showdown at the iconic Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday 13 July.
During the tournament’s final fortnight and until the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan, The Majlis will be transformed into one of Dubai’s most-popular destinations for families and groups of friends marking Iftar and Suhour.
“We’re extremely excited about our refreshed offering at The Majlis,” said Ahmed Alkhaja, Senior Vice President – Venues, DWTC. “There will be no better place to absorb all the drama from Brazil in the heart of Dubai - the World Cup atmosphere will be electric.”
A spacious and relaxed setting fixed only yards away from Dubai’s leading indoor sports venue, Dubai Sports World, The Majlis menu features delectable Emirati and Middle Eastern fare prepared by DWTC’s award winning chefs, including juicy shawarmas, mouthwatering toffee date pudding and a variety of fresh juices and refreshments. Occupying Sheikh Saeed Hall 3 at DWTC, The Majlis will also boast one of summer’s largest indoor shisha lounges.
Reservations for more than five guests in The Majlis incur a mandatory cover charge of AED200 per table booking, while private seating for up to 12 guests carries a minimum spend of AED500 per table booking. Iftar is priced at AED 140 per person with à la carte and set menus priced at AED200 per person available for Suhour.
