Future event tech to be explored at Central Hall Westminster

Central Hall Westminster exterior
Central London’s largest conference centre Central Hall Westminster today announces that it will host a half day interactive conference entitled ‘Meet The Future’ to explore technology that could shape the future of the events industry. The event will include a keynote from British futurologist Mark Stevenson and Google Glass demonstrations via, the first Google Glass app for event moderators.

The conference, which is part of Central Hall Westminster’s ‘Meet The Future’ campaign, will take place on Tuesday 3rd June 2014 9am – 3pm and is aimed at corporate event buyers and agencies. Inspired by the concept of ‘unconferencing’ and maximising audience engagement, the interactive event includes tech demonstrations, thought-provoking workshops and keynote speeches which aim to explore both the opportunities and limitations of future event technology.

In order to provide a rich choice of experience, three stages will be set up at the venue: a keynote and demonstrations stage, a panel discussions stage and a unique virtual stage, featuring the latest interactive 3D holographic projection technology presented by MUSION. Attendees will be given the opportunity to get up close and hands-on with the latest event technology and to be involved in discussing how they might affect the future of the industry.

AV company ECLIPSE Presentations, who are also lead partners of the event, will create an exhibit demonstrating the development of Audio Visual technology over the last 10 years, culminating in the latest in multi-projected HD solutions. A number of other technology providers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Maria Schuett, Marketing Manager at Central Hall Westminster and event organiser, comments: “We already have some great tech confirmed for this event with lots more to be announced shortly. I can’t wait to welcome event planners to the venue for what I’m sure will be some lively debates and demonstrations!”

Central Hall Westminster’s Managing Director Paul Southern adds: “This is shaping up to be a fantastic event. Technology plays an integral part in all of our lives and is continuing to develop rapidly, so it’s crucial that we continually have conversations about how it can best be used in our industry in order to keep on top of developments. That’s exactly what we will be doing with this event, while also allowing planners to get hands-on with the tech they might be using in the near future.”

Registration is open now via the Central Hall Westminster website.
