Historic Penshurst Place to host its first Corporate Open Day for Event Organisers and Businesses

Penshurst Place is offering corporate event and meeting organisers, as well as businesses the chance to sample the benefits on offer at the 673 year old venue by holding a special Corporate Open Day for the first time on 20th May.  Designed to demonstrate why the historic house and gardens is the perfect choice of location for a corporate day of events to remember, organisers will have the option to visit for a short recce or to spend the entire morning at the venue for a full sampling experience.

The stunning medieval venue, set in the beautiful Weald of Kent, will be showcasing the function rooms and the estate, as well as giving attendees the chance to experience outdoor pursuits and lunch from appointed caterers, Leith’s. The venue will be dressed in a variety of styles to demonstrate how it might look for a corporate event or meeting.  The ancient stone Buttery will be set out in classic boardroom style; the Sunderland Room, with sandstone walls and wood panelling, will be set up with one half fine dining, the other bar style and the magnificent Baron’s Hall built in 1341 will be dressed for an informal drinks reception.

Throughout the day banqueting staff will take groups on guided tours and be on hand to answer questions and give advice.

Outside in the 40 acre parkland, one of Penshurst Place’s recommended event suppliers will be offering the opportunity to experience a choice of three outdoor pursuits including two motorised sports activities and archery.

To complete the experience, Leith's will be serving lunch with delicious examples of the type of food that can be provided for event bookings.  The Hospitality Manager will be available to explain fine dining options, wine choices and bespoke catering options for a distinctive event.

Penshurst Place was built in 1341 and is one of a handful of historic houses that is still privately owned, in this case by the Sidney family.  It can accommodate groups of all sizes and is perfect for people looking to hold a very special corporate event; whether this is an intimate dinner, a day time meeting or a large corporate launch or activity day for hundreds.

The Corporate Open Day takes place on 20th May and will run from 9.30am until 1.30pm for those wishing to experience the whole day.  It is free to attend but places are very limited therefore you will need to pre-register with Penshurst Place’s banqueting department.
