Bath Tourism Plus sets the date for Bath Christmas Market 2014

Dates Announced: 27 November – 14 December

The countdown is on and with only 267 days until Christmas, organisers of Bath Christmas Market, Bath Tourism Plus are pleased to announce the dates for this year’s event as 27 November – 14 December 2014.
Nationally recognised as the best Christmas market in England, Bath remains the only Christmas Market in the country to receive the Quality Rose Marque from National Tourist Board VisitEngland under the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme.

Set within the picturesque Georgian streets and squares surrounding Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths, the location is both romantic and magical as it evokes everything you would want from a distinctly British Christmas Market.

The 18 day event is the biggest Christmas Shopping event in the South West region which consists of more than 150 beautifully decorated wooden chalets, each selling a variety of high-quality products such as Christmas decorations, gifts, toys, clothes, household and festive food. With tempting fare and gentle entertainment befitting the time of year, it all goes towards building the anticipation of the celebrations to come; there couldn’t be a more perfect setting for a Christmas Market in the UK.

Located in the heart of the UNESCO Word Heritage Site, the Christmas Market is perfect for visitors to enjoy all that the city has to offer – a wonderful mix of high street and designer shops, fascinating attractions and warm, inviting cafes and bars.

Christmas in Bath starts with the Bath Christmas Lights switch-on, signifying to most the start of the Christmas shopping. But there are many other wonderful festive treats in store in the run up to Christmas. Returning to the scenic Royal Victoria Park, Bath on Ice is a wonderful addition to the city’s winter festivities and there are candlelit carol concerts, special exhibitions, shows and music events.
