World ATM Congress 2014: Stronger, bigger, and better

The World ATM Congress 2014
The World ATM Congress 2014, organized only for the second time, has proven its importance to the Air Traffic Management (ATM) industries. The 2014 Congress showed that the industry needs such an event that combines a large-scale exhibition, world-class conference, and premier networking opportunities with the chance to learn the latest air traffic trends and developments. AIM Group International - Madrid Office has shared the success of the event from the beginning and will continue to support this important event.

The World ATM Congress 2014 had a record attendance – with 6,265 attendees. Not only has it improved in numbers and sustained growth from its inaugural edition but the event has become a “must attend” for the air traffic community. The World ATM Congress took place 4 - 6 March in Madrid, Spain at Feira de Madrid (IFEMA) – the confirmed venue for the next 3 editions of the event.

Organizing a successful event with attendees in the thousands for the very first time is not only hard but it shows bravery. The Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) saw the need, took the chance with the World ATM Congress and built one memorable experience. “The launching of this new congress for the Air Traffic Control sector responded to the needs for having a more dynamic networking atmosphere and this second edition only proved its importance,” shares Smara Iglesia, Senior Project Manager at AIM Spain. “Not only was the event larger,” said Peter F. Dumont, President & CEO of ATCA, “it was better. With 190 exhibitors and visitors from 128 countries, the exhibition floor was rich for business. There was clearly a demand for access to the ATM community in an environment that encourages innovation and we have provided it."

The event gathered the leaders in the industry from all parts of the world. The buzz from the first event remained throughout the year till the second with companies and people sharing their expectations and their excitement for the innovations to be revealed at the Congress. AIM Spain sustained the anticipation through a dedicated team working tirelessly throughout the year in order to exceed the expectations of the crowd. Not only the hard-working team but the destination gave its all for the event, from its Spanish passion to its laid-back ways, sustaining a good networking atmosphere on the event floor. The next World ATM Congress will take place 10 - 12 March 2015 and we are looking forward to those three days of stimulating and productive work.
