Peter de Savary, Ambassador for Inward Investment, hosts Oscar Winner Steve McQueen, in Grenada, West Indies

Academy Award Director Steve McQueen returned to his roots at the weekend, and spent time relaxing in Grenada where his Mother was born. McQueen fresh from the Oscars, where he was honoured with an Academy Award for Best Film "Twelve Years A Slave", was hosted at a party given by Grenada's Ambassador for Inward Investment, Peter de Savary, at his Grenadian home Azzurra Castle. de Savary hosted the party to congratulate and show Grenada's appreciation to McQueen for his outstanding achievement.

Besides the island's cognoscenti, Grenada's Prime Minister, the Rt. Honourable. Dr. Keith Mitchell, the Minister of Tourism, Honourable Alexandra Otway Noel and other dignitaries enjoyed the evening.

McQueen is another successful name Grenada has hosted of late. Over the last six months, a steady stream of celebrities have visited, including Mick Jagger; Oprah Winfrey; Bill Gates; Michele Rodriguez; Kellan Lutz and Morgan Freeman amongst others. With the ongoing sympathetic development of Port Louis and its mega yacht marina by de Savary; word is spreading fast that Grenada is the next "MUST ISLAND" to visit.

Peter de Savary's other attractive development, Mount Cinnamon Resort & Beach Club, is set on a majestic hillside on Grand Anse Beach - one of the world's most beautiful beaches.

Commenting, de Savary said:  "Although a small island, Grenada is incredibly rich in talent with an amazing collection of gifted individuals of Grenadian ancestry including: Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, Victoria Cross Awardee, Lance Sargent Johnson Beharry and Olympic Gold Medallist (400 metre), Kirani James. Grenada is one of the most unspoilt and beautiful island's left in the Caribbean. For such a small population it continues to be identified with worldwide high achievers. Although not as well-known as St. Barths, Barbados and other Caribbean islands, it certainly provides the most charming and enchanting of lifestyles in one of the few remaining authentic islands of the West Indies."

Grenada undoubtedly and subtly reflects a unique opportunity today for investment and pleasure in the future.
