BAFTA 195 Piccadilly welcomes Advertising Week Europe

BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, the prestigious West End home of the British Academy of Film and Television Awards (BAFTA), is delighted to be hosting Advertising Week Europe 2014, marking the second successive year that the world’s biggest advertising & media festival has selected the venue as its base in Europe.

From 31 March - 4 April, the world's sharpest creative minds will arrive in London for Advertising Week Europe, with BAFTA 195 Piccadilly set to host an array of stimulating Seminars from some of the most talented figures in the industry.

With Seminars scheduled from such dynamic companies as Google, Facebook and Spotify, and speakers such as Idris Elba, James Corden, Morgan Spurlock, Andrew Flintoff MBE, Victoria Pendleton CBE and Caitlin Moran in the lineup, the 2014 edition of Advertising Week promises to be bigger and better than ever. Two new venues will be constructed on the “BAFTA Campus with “The News Room” housing two Studio Workshop stages and a New UK Delegates Café and ‘The Underground’ at 196 Piccadilly featuring a Google Delegates Lounge and the all-new Channel 6 stage.

“Advertising Week Europe was a massive success in 2013,” says Theresa McInerney, the venue’s Account Manager, “and this year promises to be even better with an expected audience of 16,000 over the course of the week. There was a real buzz last year, and we can’t wait to welcome all back to BAFTA.”

“BAFTA is the ultimate manifestation of our fierce determination to blend aspiration and inspiration into everything we do and we are absolutely delighted to bring Advertising Week Europe back to BAFTA 195 Piccadilly,” says Matt Scheckner, managing director of Advertising Week Europe. “The relationship we have with the team at 195, is unlike any other we have, either in New York or London. They really get what we are all about, and go above and beyond the usual role of landlord to make sure everything runs like clockwork.”
