The new caterers were added to the list following an extensive tender process, which involved visiting each caterer allowing them to demonstrate their offering. The caterers were judged on how they worked with venues as well as their company policy and sustainability credentials which were used to ensure compliance with Somerset House Trust’s policies.
Ampersand, Clement Worrall and “rhubarb” were chosen for their unique and innovative ways of presenting their offering, as well as their flexibility, competitive pricing and ability to adapt to different client needs.
Emma Barrow, head of events at Somerset House, commented: “We were looking for caterers we felt could bring a new element to the list we have, and Ampersand, Clement Worrall and “rhubarb” certainly demonstrated both creativity and value for money. We are confident that the new additions to our suppliers list will widen the scope of our events even further.”
The new companies join Somerset House’s existing caterers Alison Price & Company, Bubble Food, By Word of Mouth, Mustard Catering, Suzanne James, Table Talk and Zafferano.
